I could go on. Those are the words that destroy and tear down. Those are the words that effect a child or a teenager to the core. After hearing them enough, they start to believe them.

These are the words of life. These are the words that encourage and build up. These are the words that every child and teenager needs to hear...and believe.
How many of us have suffered from hearing words that tear us down? How many of us have directed those words at someone else?
Why don't we make it our goal to speak words of life? How very different our schools, our homes, our neighborhoods, our country would be. There would be less depression, suicide, crime and destruction. There would be more people walking around actually believing that they have value.
I write this so we can all be reminded of the power of our words.
"The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life."
"A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit."
"A man finds joy in an apt reply - and how good is a timely word!"
Proverbs 15
