E-Cheer: True Representatives

Why is it that when you eat too much for lunch, you feel drowsy
all afternoon, but when you eat a big meal in the evening, you
stay awake all night? Is life weird or what?

About weird, Webster says, "May imply an unearthly or
supernatural strangeness." Perhaps that is why the non-Christian
world thinks we are weird. We do have an unearthly faith in a
supernatural God. That really presents no problem. It is when we
try to act so heavenly that we appear to be no earthly good that it
becomes a problem.

The Christian who is an effective witness for Christ is a normal
human being with an abnormal ability to represent the true Christ
without being weird or obnoxious about it.

1 Cor. 14:40 (nlt) says, "Be sure that everything is done properly
and in order." That was written to apply to a specific circum-
stance, but it's good advice for an abundance of situations,
including our being a living witness for Christ.

Jesus Christ is the living Son of God, not a freak, Let's truly
represent Him accordingly.
