She wanders aimlessly through the crowd
Her eyes shifting and darting about
Numb, yet fearing at every turn
All her life, damaged, but still she'd yearn
For love
Do you see her?
Successful in all the ways you would think
After a hard day's work, found on a stool with a drink
The love of his life walked away from him for good
Until the night before he'd never understood
His failure
Do you see him?
Countless lives daily being destroyed
Lost in our own world, their sorrows ignored
So selfish, so lazy, so distracted we are
But, could it be because we carry our own scar
From the past?
Do you see them?
Do you see us?
Battered and bruised, each one of us
Surrounded by sorrows in a world unjust
The hope that we find is the hope we can offer
Never forget she's our sister, he's our brother
Dont turn away!
She needs love.
He needs a friend.
You may be
Their final chance
To find hope
