He does what I would never do.
It doesn't cause him pain.
And yet, one day, he'll surely rue
The loss he can't regain.
If I can see what's yet to come
When he pursues his whim,
I wish that God would transfer some
Of what I feel to him.
He'll never know until too late,
When life will not be kind,
The cost when he forsook his mate;
His children left behind.
