Teach The Children
For those of you who love children, work with children at home, at church, or at school...know your work is one of high calling.
Psalm 78:4,6-7 says this:
"We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done...so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children. Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but would keep his commands." (NIV)
I wrote this for my daughter Emily, who will be teaching kindergarten this year at our local Christian school...
Teach the Children
God has called us to teach our children
About His mighty and powerful ways.
He says not to keep anything from them
And says to tell the generation today.
So they might grow and learn of Him
And keep His commands in their days,
We will praise our God in all He does
And we will let them hear us pray.
Then they will tell their children too
So to hear all the praises they say,
And so they will also teach of Him
And speak of all His wondrous ways.
The chain goes on through all of time
And who knows how many come to pray!
Speaking to one will spread the word
That our God is worthy of our praise!

We definitely should teach our children the ways of God. This is fitting for teachers, and I know all Christian teachers will appreciate it. Thomas
