We’re the Body of Christ
Or is that just what we say?
Is that how we are living our lives from day to day?
Do our friends, co-workers, or employers say:
“Gosh that guy knows God”?
Have we shared our faith with them?
Maybe a little?
Maybe not at all?
Do we wake up every morning,
Asking God for Grace?
Asking for His mighty hand to boost our puny faith?
I’ve come to a realization,
And fell led to share it with you
That many of the Body
Will shout amen from the pew
But putting it into action is just not what we do
This is a paradox
That I just cannot grasp
To attain the strength to live for Christ,
All you have to do is ask
Ask and it will be given you
According to His Will
We don’t pay expenses
He takes care of the bill
What it takes is an earnest desire
From the depths of you own heart
To live for Christ and not yourself
This is the very start
Next you must decide
From which well you shall daily draw
From the well of Living Water
Or the well that is not of God
Satan our adversary works overtime on us
Trying to discourage us
And even make us cuss
Strong is our enemy
Stronger is our God
Do not be discouraged
We must and shall fight on
Gird up the loins of your mind,
And put your armor on
But don’t forget your Sword,
That is the Word of God
This is not written to discourage
But maybe to convict
We can no longer be living as hypocrites
We are representatives of the Lord
So act like you are so
Yes even in the workplace or around Mom and Dad at home
