“Fulfilling the Great Commission,
Such a daunting task.
I’d tell You why I couldn’t,
But You didn’t ask.”
We had that conversation
So very long ago.
So much time had elapsed
And still I did not go.
“I know that I’ve been called
Onto the mission field.
But to Your Holy Spirit
I have yet to yield.”
We had that conversation
So very long ago.
So many souls have entered eternity.
And I have none to show.
Why didn’t I give in to You
And show the world Your love?
To fulfill this great commission
You’d have done it through me from above.
But now that I’ve been raptured
And I am Home at last,
I wish that I’d have lent myself
To Your not-so-daunting task.
