The sound of the falling snow?
The sound of raindrops as they cleanse the earth?
The thunder as it roars through the clouds?
The lightening as it illuminates the sky?
The wind as it whispers your name?
The stars twinkling in the still of the night?
The constellations praising the Father in worship?
The sunset as it slowly settles for the night?
The sunrise winking to welcome a new day?
The flowers blooming with fragrance?
The grass growing to reach the Heavens?
The clouds fluffing to provide moments of shade?
The whispers in our dreams?
The cry of a newborn baby?
The song of a bird on a quiet spring day?
The humming of a bee in flight?
The crackling of a campfire?
The leaves harmonizing as they cover the ground?
The earth swelling after the rain?
The pansies smiling?
The willows weeping?
The sun hugging the sky?
The rainbow leaning to envelope His promise ?
The ice sparkling like jewels of royalty?
The rivers cleansing?
The ocean swelling?
The fog caressing?
Have you ever heard the sounds of God as He speaks?
There is so much more than the voices of our loved ones or the sermons of our preachers. God speaks to us any way He can, through everything He can.
There is no mistaking the many ways He entices us through the elements He created or through the sounds of nature. He caresses our bodies; He whispers in our ears, He fills our senses with heavenly perfumes, He provides visions of heaven and this is all provided to simply get our attention.
So many times we miss it, so many times we are too busy to notice, so many times we are too tired to listen. So many times we hear the Voice but ignore the Call. But that does not stop our loving God from trying again and again to lead us into His embrace.
Can you hear God speak to you? I cannot wait to hear what He has to say to me next.
