A verse of scripture just for you today, Itís found in 1 Corinthians 10:13
There has no temptations taken you but that which is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above that which you are able; but will with the temptation also make a way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
Listen beloved, when tempted by trials, when overcome by testing, when provoked by your adversary, God is faithful... when Satan would buffet you
or try to sift you as wheat, God is still faithful.
Every temptation is common to man, they are what I call 'happen chance' common happenings over which we have no natural control, accidents without explanation, the sort of thing that makes us shout out 'why did God allow this to happen'
Perhaps you have wondered why a plane crashed, why natural disasters, why accidents? The question why Lord? May have formed in your mind, you may have even questioned as to why God allowed it?
Listen; it was simply 'happen chance' a common thing.
God is the faithful one in the midst of every trial and every testing, he is at your side trusting in you... you see God knows that you were able to cope with all that the enemy threw at you, he knows that you will come out of this with a shout of victory, he knows what you are able to bear because from the day you were born he chose you as his own.
You are not some wimp my friend who falls at the first hurdle and gives up, I am persuaded in God and by what I have heard that you are made of sterner stuff, the Christ in you has power to see you through this and to make you whole again.
Look at the past months my friend, look back and see how you have grown in stature, in Christ, you would never have trusted the Lord to such an extent before the accident, you would never have known his healing power so you see all things do work together for good when you love and trust Christ.
However my friend see this promise from God, the faithful and true God of your salvation, if the going gets too tough he has prepared a way of escape for you that you may be able to bear it.
I remember when my kidneys failed (this was when I had been ministering in healing for some years) I am a stubborn being my wife tells me as do others at times and had refused to seek a doctors help.
The pain and the sickness were excruciating to say the least and at times I would black out even when people prayed for me.
I was determined to believe and to trust the one I had seen heal so many people.
However at one time in my weakness I shouted at God and said 'either you are God of all or youíre not God at all, either you are the God who heals or youíre not the God of the bible and I do not want to know you...
Then in my ramblings I told him to either heal me or take me home I didnít care which, I told him that I wanted to finish the work he had called me too but that I just couldnít take any more; the pain was too great.
I shouted and raved at Him again saying 'make a way of escape for me I canít take any more, give me a word to live on'
At that precise moment a little book fell off the table and opened in front of my face. Across the pages were written words that I had preached on for years and through which many hundreds had been healed. It said 'I have healed you already' (1 Peter 2:24)
I lay for a moment on the floor, before seeing this truth and then scolded my self for my unbelief.
I struggled to my feet and fell not once but six times with the pain. However I had heard from God and knew I was healed, I didnít look healed, I didn't feel healed but I just knew I was, just like I knew I was saved.
A dear brother drove me home my body still disagreeing with Gods word, the pain asserting its voice but the voice of God, the way of escape was louder.
The moment I placed my foot on the front doorstep of our home my kidneys started to work again and I was healed completely.
I though I had truly offended God by screaming abuse at him but in reality It was me being real and God loves real people who are not afraid to be themselves, who will put him to the test, who will trust him as you have done.
There is a way of escape and itís always through 'his word' thatís why knowing him personally, so personally as to know his every word, itís the entrance of his word that brings light into the dark corners where the enemy lurks and in exposing him destroys his works in our lives.
He always rises up a standard when Satan comes in like a flood, the power of his word, his healing hands, his promise to deliver us when we call on his name is our banner, our victory...
Its Gods word that is truth when lies abound in our minds, its Gods revealed truth that makes us free. Itís his word that is the way of escape that opens up just when we need it most.
