They walked in for the first time
Fresh in from the foe
They were spiritually broken
With a new rejuvenated soul
They are fresh into the body of Christ
They have just given their lives to Him
They just came from a lifetime of sin
But yet the church did not embrace them
Some came from divorces, surgeries, drugs and deaths
They came to a church in hopes of finding encouragment
Some sat in the back and cried in tears
But the only thing they received is discontentment
They were not greeted at the door
Nor embraced with a hug from their fellow man
They walked away from the church feeling unloved
Never to be seen again
***** Does this represent your church? Does your church acknowledge the new believers who are walking in fresh from the foe? Are these people who are getting their first taste of Christianity walking away from your church in disappointment? I challenge you to say "Not on my watch". ****
