I allowed myself to sleep in this morning. a luxury beyond compare, I know that I'll regret it later today, for those missing hours won't be there.
Tis a lovely thing to wake very early, and look at the clock and think, 'ah, it doesn't matter what it says. I can get another 40 winks!
When I finally awoke, it was still quiet, the house was hushed as could be, the day was still an unopened present, waiting just for me.
Such a small thing could make me so happy, to have given myself this little gift of time, it made me think of the other wondrous gifts, worth so much, but freely mine.
I thank God for sending Jesus to earth, for making the miracle of transforming my heart, for giving me this beautiful world, in which I do my tiny part.
I thank God for all the senses that I have, for a mind that can freely know, for prayers that I say that I am sure are heard, for the blessings that always flow.
Most of all, I thank God for you, for the dream that I never thought would be mine, for the love we share is such a rare treasure, to be lost in its wonder is sublime.
There will never be quite enough ways to find to say what I want, or to do, to express how deep and wide and true, is the love that fills my heart for you.
Your voice is a joy, your face a delight, each moment with you is so rare, that I tuck each memory into my heart, to remember again and again this love we share.
There are so many gifts I have, each day God gives them to me anew, but the best one of all, the one I cherish the most, is the man that I love, it is you!
