Without a vision the people perish. And God has blessed some poeple to have vision, while others he blesses with the small details.
I am a visionary and have a great imagination. My co-worker Lisa, on the other hand, sees the small details and is very practical.
As a result, we work well together.
We balance each other out.
In the whirlwind of life, though, it is easy to only see the details and not the big picture.
God is the big picture. God is love, liberty and truth.
at the risk of sounding like Maria von Trapp, I often go to the hills, to talk with and feel God's presence. Doing so, helps me keep my focus.
I aslo read the bible and especially like how God decided to inlcude the book of Ezekiel. It is so out there and so imaginative, it shows me that God does bless the imagination.
But imagination can go off in all directions. So thank God for Lisa.
I took archery a while back and though a sport, is also a philosophy. the intention is to get the arrow to the target. This requires a strong stance, pull and tension, focus, and then release without being in control of the results.
Very applicable to life.
Vision, imagination, strong stance, focus, attention to details, partnering with others who are strong where we are weak, and releasing the intention to God is all part of a Christian's daily life.
thanks for letting me share.
