Prevailing prayer is a prayer that pushes right through all difficulties and obstacles. It drives back all the opposing forces of satan, and secures the will of God.
Prevailing prayer not only takes the initiative but also continues on the offensive for God until spiritual victory is won.
A spirit-filled Christian should therefore be eager to devote quality time to God’s word because our prayers should always be rooted in God’s word.
This could mean sacrificing other things to enable you devote more time in the word of God and in prayer. (James 5:16).
Satan knows the tremendous power in prayer and will therefore do everything under his sleeves to prevent us learning the secrets of prayer. He will give you every reasonable excuse just to prevent you from having insights into prevailing prayer.
The enemy fear your prayer more than anything else and would rather have you to be busy for God all day than to pray for one hour.
But child of God remember that spiritual victories are normally won in spiritual warfare. So if you are unwilling to fight then don’t expect great victories. (Ephesians 6:11-18).
Don’t give up your prayer life just because there are delays to your answers. You will learn many spiritual lessons because of delayed answers to your prayers. Perhaps these delays are to teach you how to prevail in prayer.
Don’t give up your prayer life for anything. Be alert and keep on praying for your faith will see you through. Remember that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.
So keep on Asking, keep on Seeking and keep on Knocking!
