Have you a burden to bear?
Have you a worry or care?
Assailed by trouble and fear?
Take it to the Lord in prayer
He gives the weary rest
Leaves them comforted and blest
He satisfies the deer’s thirst
He’ll give ear to your request
Slow to wrath and quick to save
God of love and God of grace
On our hearts He doth engrave
The law of Grace that helps us say:
“Though I wish this burden gone
And feel I just can take no more
Lord Thy will, not mine, be done
For this is how my victory’s won”.
