Rushing to alters of stubble and hay
ignited by vanities steeped in decay
To false hope and pride, we dare not pray
Heaven's promptings must show the way!
Desperate measures for desperate times
Cry out to God with whole heart and mind
In sackcloth and ashes, seek and you'll find
glorious assurance from answers Divine!
Deliverance craves takers like hand in glove
Wanting and wishing is never enough
It's believing and trusting in The One above
receiving and thanking for His answers of love!
