Life is unpredictable. Let me tell you what I mean.
A woman called a taxi to take her to the airport. She was hurrying up to catch a flight. While inside the taxi, she became so preoccupied with what she was reading and thinking. She didn't notice that the taxi driver was already taking her to a different route.
All of a sudden, when the taxi stopped in a street corner, a man went inside the taxi and announced a holdup. The man forcibly took her all her cash money, jewelries as well as her visa and passport. The taxi driver was in cahoots with the holduper.
The woman was later left in the middle of a dark roadside. She felt too bad and unlucky, she cursed those around her for experiencing such a terrible holdup.
That same evening, she watched on TV news that Flight 230 crashed! She cried a lot. She got shocked. It was the same plane where she was supposed to board into if the taxi had brought her on time to the airport.
If this woman had not been held up, she could had lost something more valuable -- her life! It's a case of a bad thing that turned out to be good, if you know what I mean.
Sometimes, bad things can be a blessing in disguise. You lost your job. You got rejected by people who are important to you. Your business went down. Indeed, there are times nothing seems to be going well.
Friend, in times like these, what are you supposed to do? Never give up. Keep moving on. You can start all over again with the faith that your frustration was merely a stepping stone to something better.
You can't predict what's exactly in store for you in the future. You just need to move forward with the conviction of a winner, somebody with a clear purpose in life.
What if we turn the tables around? What if good things happen to you that turned out to be bad?
There was this man who won $10 million from a lottery. He thought he was the luckiest man who ever lived. He became selfish and squandered all his winnings on having a good time in night clubs and with women.
One day, he made it again in the newspaper headlines. But this time, it was not a good news of winning. He was killed by a group of men because of his riches.
If something good happens to you, never be too secure about it either. Pray for God's protection and wisdom. Life is so unpredictable.
Live where it counts the most. You can never predict what will happen next.
