Every culture should be story inspired,
for that is what humanity requires.
Our elders could teach so much about our past.
However, we seem to be driven too fast.
Modern life flows too quick for past stories told.
We would benefit to honor stories of old,
for stories of old reveal how culture speaks out.
They reveal what life is really all about.
Nothing destroys culture like the passing time.
Society weakens in times spiteful crime,
for time often departs from traditions wave.
It’s our job to keep tradition from the grave.
Ignoring our culture’s story is bad for us,
for how can we learn from the past if it’s hushed?
Our elders embrace us with experience.
Taking time to listen brings resilience.
