This morning in my prayer and meditation time, I began to see what those of us from the South would call a "switch" which is another word for a stem or branch from a tree used by many mothers, grandmothers and aunties to cause bodily harm to a rebellious child!
Well, this morning as I was praying, I began to see a switch being scratched into the dirt on the ground as if it was erasing something.
I began to hear the spirit of the Lord say; I am erasing footprints and tracks that the enemy will not be able to locate you.
As I pressed in to get the meaning, I was reminded of stories in which slaves in the plight for freedom would use the same method as well as others to throw off their scent or tracks from the enemy.
Every familiar track and pathway that has almost become a pattern God is erasing and removing the tracks! It will be to the point that your pathway is unrecognizable.
Job 28:7 say there is a path that no fowl knows and the vulture's eye has not seen it! I hope that you truly hear the spirit of the Lord that there is a path of wisdom, anointing, strength that the fowl doesn't know and the vulture that is waiting for thing to die out in your life has not seen it.
Press into the wisdom of God and know that He is erasing the tracks of familiar paths of destruction. Familiar paths of disappointments and familiar paths of failure and know that the God that started the work is able to finish it!
If you believe that - even before moving on to the next thing, give God the praise and glory that is due Him for the release and for the removal of familiar paths!
