Pilate-
As the Roman governor, he had interviewed the one called Jesus.
“Are you The King of the Jews?” He had asked.
“Yes, it is as you say.” Jesus answered.
Pilate had sent Jesus to Herod. Herod and his soldiers mocked Jesus and sent him back to Pilate.
Pilate could not reason with the crowd, he told them that Herod had let Jesus go because He had done nothing to deserve death. Pilate also told the crowd the same thing.
Three times Pilate had asked ,”What crime has he committed?” Pilate hadn’t wanted to be a part of this murder.
However, he had eventually given in to the crowd and turned Jesus over to them.
As he thought about this, he felt ashamed. He had turned the King of the Jews over to a pack of wolves.
