”LOVE OF A FATHER “
“A salutation to the Love of Our Heavenly Father.”
From decades we are celebrating “Fathers’ Day” and as the children of our father we salute them for there fatherhood and love, which our father gives to us. Fathers’ Day is celebrated as Mark of Respect to our father.
Father’s Day was introduced by Sonora Louise Smart Dodd, who lived in Spokane, Washington. She was the oldest of six children raised by their father, William Jackson Smart, when their mother died during childbirth. Sonora honoured and revered her father, and while listening to a Mother's Day sermon, in 1909, she determined there should also be a day to honour fathers.
In 1910 Sonora chose June 19th, as the day to celebrate Father's Day because that was her father's birthday. With support from the Spokane Ministerial Association and the YMCA, the first Father's Day was celebrated in Spokane on June 19, 1910. And so the fathers’ day was started celebrating as a mark of respect and love and reverence towards the fatherhood.
But have we ever given salutation to our FATHER who created the heavens and the earth and everything which is on the earth. After all HIS creation, GOD said , “Let us make man in our own image, in our own likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of GOD he created him; male and female he created them.” Genesis 1:26-27
In the above verse the Love of our Heavenly father has been portrayed and He created us in there own image and there own likeness and gave us everything under our dominion over all the things GOD created. But instead of getting dominion on everything on earth and sea and sky, men choose to have dominion over men and all this happened due to the entering of Sin in the world through Adam and Eve, when Eve was deceived by Satan in the Garden of Eden and thus Eve ate the fruit of the tree as it was good for food and pleasing to the eye and also desirable for gaining wisdom and she also gave it to her husband and he ate it. Immediately there eyes of both of them opened and they realized they were naked and they sewed fig leaves together and made covering for themselves. (Genesis 3: 6-7)
As a consequence of disobedience of Word of God by Adam and Eve, Human Race was cursed and was thrown of out Eden gardens and was cursed by GOD that through out our days of life we will painfully toil and will eat the food by the sweat of our brow, until we return to the ground, since from it we were taken, for dust we are and to dust we return saith the GOD. (Genesis 3: 17-19)
Due to the entering of the Sin in the World , there aroused a need for God to introduce the plan of salvation and so He chose Abraham and He promised to him all that he longed for……and more. Abraham was a faithful and a righteous servant of God and so God gave him a promise that, “Through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me.” Genesis 22:18 .God wanted to bless, not just Abraham, but the whole world .Thousands of years later, in the time of Jesus, the full meaning of those words became clear.
The prophecy about the Salvation a major emphasis on “The Deliverer” is found in Isaiah chapters 49-55 which tells of a “suffering servant” who will come from Israel to bring light to all nations. Isaiah presents the servant as the deliverer of all humankind .And yet he portrays Him more as a tragic figure than a hero: “He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him….He was oppressed and afflicted, yet He did not open His mouth; He was led like a Lamb to the slaughter” Isaiah 53:2,7
And thousands of years later the promises which were given to Abraham and King David was fulfilled on the birth of the “JESUS CHRIST” – “The Messiah””. Matthew states the birth of Deliverer “She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because He will save his people from their sins.””1:21. Matthew then sets out to prove an audacious claim: This Jesus, from the humble town of Nazareth, is the very “Messiah”, the deliverer promised back in the Old Testament.
Before the arrival of Jesus in this world John the Baptist prepares the way for Jesus and testifies regarding Christ that “He is the one who comes after me, the thongs of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie.”” John 1:27 and in the verse 29 John says, “Look the Lamb of the God, who takes away the sin on the World.” And when Jesus was baptized from John the Baptist said to the crowd. “The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is he who will baptize with the Holy Spirit. I have seen and I testify that this is the Son of God.”” John 33-34.
And in the entire ministry of Jesus Christ on this earth He preached that, “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born again of water and Spirit.” John 3:5 Through this Jesus clearly stated that unless and until we do not repent for our sins and does not get baptized by the Holy Spirit one cannot enter or see the Kingdom of God and have eternal life. Although Jesus did not do a single sin but He took the sins of the whole world on the cross of Calvary, so that we could have abundant life in and through Him. On the cross of Calvary up till the last breathe of His life He fulfilled the wish of Father in the Heaven above and He rosed up from the dead and know seats at the Right hand of the Father in the Heaven.
Paul describes love of our Lord in the Romans in this way , “ Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die, But God demonstrates his own love for us in this : While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” 5:7-8.
Paul further describes in Romans 5 he said that as through one man sin entered the world but through Jesus we are made righteous which brings life for all men. In verse 21 Paul says, “Just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ Our Lord.” So through one man sin entered the world and death through sin, because all sinned for before the law was given, sin was into the world, but through the God’s grace and the gift that came by the Grace of the one man (Christ) overflow to the many!
There are many people in this world today who are homeless, who have no father, mother, brother and sisters, friends or family and there are so many teenagers who are abused by there parents and fathers and family ,there are so many people who are search in a true love but all they have got is abuse and betrayal and Lust, Today the Love of the Heavenly Father is calling upon you to each and every one of us and the people from the every walks of the life ,from the cross of Calvary through His Son our Lord Jesus Christ who died for my ,your ‘s and the sins of the whole world ,fulfilling the wish of His Father ,John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have Eternal Life.”
If you have still not experienced the Heavenly Love and have not yet accepted Jesus as you saviour today on the Father’s Day, our Heavenly Father is calling upon each one of us, Just pray this prayer as an act of faith and give your heart to Jesus and you will have the love, peace, joy, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control the fruits of the Holy Spirit.

John 3:16.
