Acts 2:30-32: Therefore being a prophet and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins according to the flesh he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne: he seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell neither his flesh did see corruption. This Jesus hath God raised up whereof we are all witness. My thought is God had raised him up.
The gospels record the fact that many people did not believe that Jesus is the Son of God who would die for the sin of the world and be raised up on the third day and go to glory and sit on the right hand of the Father in heaven. So is it today. Many do not believe in his death for the sin of the world and resurrection for the salvation of all souls. Jesus mentioned that if a man believed on him though he was dead, he would live.
The gospel of Jesus Christ is not logical. It is the supernatural power of God unto salvation for all who would believe. It is the truth from God to man. Jesus Christ is the awesomeness of God displayed in human flesh. There is nothing greater than the man who gave his life so that we could have life.
In some regions in the Far East where many people serve demon gods they want to kill you for preaching Christ because it is the truth and the devil hates it. The enemy wants people to believe that the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ is just a fairytale but God has truly raised Jesus from the dead.
Jesus is the first and only man to rise from the dead whom God placed all things and the devil under his feet. Since he rose from the dead, death had no victory over him and could not contain him. The Lord took the keys of hell and death from the enemy called satan. He is the rock of all ages, the stone that the builders rejected and is the chief cornerstone.
Jesus told his disciples in St Matthew 19:17: Behold we go to Jerusalem and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the gentiles to mock and to scourge and to crucify him; and the third day he shall rise again. Jesus is alive and will live forever more. Amen.
