Time of Fresh Beginnings
Fall and winter have come and gone
Focus of all faces forward
Favored of God, spring’s eternal
It’s the time of fresh beginnings.
Rivulets form as snow fades away
Rhythm sounds as ice drip, drip, drips
Robins come, pushed by Southern sun
It’s the time of fresh beginnings.
Early birds prophecy of hope
Each one busy with its castle
Eaves provide the perfect setting
It’s the time of fresh beginnings.
Sprouting buds, trees with green marbles
Seeds burst with anticipation
Stretching green fingers through damp sod
It’s the time of fresh beginnings.
Hues of warm colors chase the gray
Hope of bright, sunny days ahead
Hearts beat warm, anxiously await
It’s the time of fresh beginnings.
