I had a srange and wonderful dream: a friend and I were flying across the sky in some sort of coach, and there was present an ethereal happiness, elation actually. And when I woke, the feeling lingered.
As is my wont, I checked the computer for the delightful writings that usually greet me. And there was one that seemed to fit right in with the glow I was feeling. It was stated that the love of God is the most important concept on earth--far and away above our love for Him which is at best a feeble reflection.
His great love as evidenced by the sending of His Son is the transforming power in the universe. If we allow it, His warming, all-encompassing love awakens our caterpillar humanity and transforms us into spiritual butterflies. We no long walk earth-bound; we fly heaven-bound. Thank you, Abba Father. It makes everything fall into place. No one who recognizes the power and magnitude of the love of God could ever refuse to serve Him. It seems so small and insignificant an offering compared to His.
The love of God is the sunrise, and our love for Him only the description. And a sunset is more beautiful than the description could ever be. I want never to forget this morning and the powerful renewing of my mind and spirit by the recognition of His great love! The Daystar has dawned in my heart, and it is blinding. Please, Father, let me hold the vision until I see You face to face.

It is a reflection of our own lives that you describe. How much deeper and always present is the love of a parent for the child than the converse? We all take our parents for granted and yet we never cease dwelling on the welfare of our offsring in our own minds.
A good thought that God feels that way, too.
