Monday morning, while waiting for the lady I carpool to work with, I took out my Sunday school lesson and began to read about the story of Daniel and his constant Faith in God. Faced with defying his King and serving God, Daniel remained true and was saved from the lions.
It made me stop and look at how my faith in God was and how many times that I prayed to God asking him to take this worry from me, and then turn around doubting him when unexpected things happened or when things didn’t turn out the way I thought they should have.
Too many times it’s easy to say “I have given it to God” then want to help speed up the results up of what we have prayed for.
I wanted to have that kind of Faith that Daniel displayed, for by him putting his complete trust in God, the King saw how powerful and almighty God really was and he too wanted to worship him.
I prayed after reading the entire lesson that my faith could and be would be that strong.
For no matter what we are faced with, if we love God and trust him completely then that peace we seek will be found in knowing that our awesome God we serve will take care of us.
