In these last days
We seek to know God's ways
Our map is the Bible
Every word is so reliable
No fables and jokes
It speaks of righteous folks
People just like me and like you
Delivered and set free
From sin and condemnation
Having many trials and tribulations
Some think that's a bad thing
But it's a teaching tool that helps us get clean
For the trials take us through the fire
To refine us from the muck and mire
How blessed we are to have this handbook
When we need information all we have to do is look
And read about our brothers and sisters who went before us
Some being killed who never put up a fuss
All for righteousness sake
Even to death they did partake
But then we read in Hebrews chapter 11
The faith of God's servants who all await heaven
That with us we all will be made like the One
Perfect like Jesus the number One Son
