I imagined I saw an old, gnarled tree, with a hole big and dark in its side; and I wondered if treasure might be in there, it was a perfect place to hide.
When I peeked in, it was musty and dark, but I saw a book within, I brushed off the leaves and grime from the top, the title said "What Might Have Been"
I gently put it down in its place, inside I would not look to see, for I was not ever looking back, for Jesus has set me free.
Around to the other side of that tree there was a table set for two, and on each place was a beautiful menu this day's blessings from which to choose.
I knew that this was where I belonged, for in my heart I knew that God had set it under the shade of this tree just for me and you.
I looked at the menu, printed in silver, tied up with ribbons of love, and I peeked inside to see what gifts were there, placed with care from our Father above.
I saw love at the top, then came joy, and hope and peace right behind; and I knew that this day would hold all of these, wondrous gifts for us to find.
Gone from the tree was that dark ugly hole, sealed up was the book inside, for I had chosen to take Jesus' hand, and walk into the future at His side.
And Jesus had picked the perfect one, to make my dreams come true, for along this path there would be three of us, Jesus and me and you!
I thank God each morning when I come again, to this table of yet to be, and thank Him for the wonder of love, that He's given to you and me.
We share it all, each day is a joy, our love is forever new, for God gave me the desire of my heart, the day that He gave me you!

I could see a collection of your poetry in a book, with colorful illustrations. For this one, the menu could be the background (printed in silver, tied up with ribbons of love). Good job and you nicely express your love for God and your husband.
