I remember as a child playing a silly game, to try and pin a tail on a paper donkey, and do it quickly, inside a small time frame.
My eyes were covered, I could not see, the right way to go with my paper tail, and everyone shouted different instructions at me.
I wandered this way, everyone yelled 'no!' so I stopped and turned another way,
I was totally confused, didn't know which way to go.
Thinking of that reminded me of how I wandered just that lost, before Jesus came and set me free.
I had no direction, nowhere to go, my life had no point, there was so much I didn't know.
But Jesus came and gently removed the blinders from my eyes, and place me on a path He had smoothed.
He held my hand. led the way, showed me what I should learn, preparing me for a very special day.
The day came and my heart knew for Jesus sent you into my life, and I saw my dream come true.
Now, hand in hand, we look ahead and see, when this day's path will go, and all the joy in it for you and me.
I am so glad that Jesus made me new, and turned my life around, for I know that because of Him, I met you!
