Mark 7:37 And they were astonished beyond measure, saying, "He has done all things well. He makes both the deaf to hear and the mute to speak."(NKJ)
Jesus, that powerful and almighty name of Jesus. He is the one that is capable of opening the ears of the deaf and loosening the tongue. The awesome news is that we have that same authority through Him. As I was meditating on this verse, I began to visualize what it was like for that the person, he was deaf and mute, unable to hear or speak. Can you imagine for a second what this person must have felt when he was finally and suddenly able to hear all the sounds around him, and to utter his first words? Can you imagine the emotions of euphoria after hearing all the different sounds around him and learning to speak?
Do you know that very same thing that this person went through can happen to us? We can ask the Lord to open our ears to hear his voice clearly, to guide us in our lives and recognize His voice when He speaks. We can ask our Lord to loosen our tongue to speak and to declare His mighty works. If these are some of your desires, know that God put those desires in you. The scripture says that when we ask, believe and you will receive it.
Have you ever wanted to hear His voice clearly for your life and to speak so that all may understand? Ask and believe, and you shall receive it.

I love the positive theme running through this piece! The scriptures assure us that we will recognise the Lord`s voice and that when we open our mouth He will fill it....before any of these things take place though, we have to undergo `open-heart surgery` - then the hearing and speaking for Christ will follow! An ex article, thank you.
