A Quiet Hero
Looking back through the years to when I was a kid,
I never really thanked my dad for all the things he did.
I guess that when your young you think thatís just what fathers do;
taking us on day trips to the ocean or the zoo,
house boating on the lake, or weekend camping trips,
and all the while he always had a smile on his lips.
Looking back through those years now that Iím a dad,
itís easy to appreciate the father that I had.
He was a quiet hero, and he was always there for us,
giving us what Ďere we needed never making a fuss.
So I just want to take a moment just to say to you:
Have a happy fatherís day, and thanks for all you do.

What a wonderful tribute to your father, your silent hero. Our fathers don't receive enough praise for all the sacrifices they make. None are perfect, but then, who is?
