That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death. Philippians 3:10
One goal I had when my granddaughter, Sierra (5), came to spend a few days with me was to get to know her heart more deeply. As the two of us sat at tea with dainty cups and saucers, we talked about her family. She loves her sister. Her daddy is very special to her. I learned that Sierra loves beautiful times together, like tea parties, especially when there is plenty of sugar. After teatime, I felt my heart a little more wrapped up in Sierra’s heart. I knew her a tad bit better.
Ahhh, yes, when I sit with my heavenly Father I drink deep from His Word. I learn His heart and share with Him my heart. I come away sensing that my heart and His are meshed more closely into one. There is nothing richer and more satisfying than truly knowing the Father.
Prayer: My Father God, I love our times of fellowship and sharing. I’m blessed abundantly each time I sense that I know a little more of Your heart. Amen.
Begin today by spending time with the Father. If you’re not accustomed to time in the Word, a good place to start is in John, then reading a Psalm each day is inspiring.

Thank you for sharing this. It is those special times of closeness where we come to know the Father intimately and make room for Him in our heart.
Blessings!
