When He spoke, they would listen; when He called they came.
Where He led, they would follow, singing praises to His name.
He would make the deaf to hear, and make the blind to see.
He could bring the dead to life and walk upon the sea.
In parables He taught His students; those who followed Him,
how to live a proper life and do away with sin.
He traveled through the Holy Land to speak to anyone
who would accept the word of God until their life was done.
When His purpose was fulfilled, His time on earth was gone,
He passed the job along to us, to make sure it was done.
When He speaks, we will listen;
and when He calls we’ll come.
