Stranded on Long Island
I'm a long, long way from smilin
Sitting here stranded on Long Island
Sitting at this bar
My mind wanders far
But you can't leave
When you're stranded on Long Island
So pour the drinks
As long they're on you, it's free
There's no better place to be
Than stranded here on Long Island
Sitting on this stool
I must be the fool
Among all the people thinking it's cool
Standing here around this Long Island
Because I still feel alone
As the jukebox moans
And I would much rather be at home
Than stranded here on this Long Island
Looking down the bar
Smoke from a cigar
Should I climb in my car
Or stay here on Long Island
This paradise
Of playing with ice
Wondering what's happened to life
While sitting here on Long Island
Soak in the sun
From the neon above
Wish someone would give me the shove
To move off this Long Island
These Long Island Iced Teas
Run through me
But I can't ever leave
I'm stranded here on Long Island
