Three Poems for Children
I see a red kite in the air.
I wonder, is it cold up there?
Do birds say “Hi”
As they go by?
And when it rains,
Do red kites care?
Sand is good for making things in the sandbox
And for building castles just out of reach of the waves at the shore.
Sand between your toes is for making a mess in the car
After a fun day at the beach.
Teddy bears are soft to hug.
Grandpa is thin and boney.
I hug him anyway.
