I want to tell about a person
Really not sure where to begin
Unfortunately the end is tragic
Many people lost a friend
He never met a stranger
Talked to everyone
If you didn't want to listen
Well, you missed the fun
He would tell you stories
Of places he had been
You would think you were there also
When he finished it with his grin
He would greet you with a handshake
Give you his ear-to-ear smile
If you wanted to talk in your conversation
Your turn wouldn't be for a while
The Lord wanted him also
He's taken him away
What Heaven had to gain
Many people lost that day
So I'll say in closing
I'm speaking to you Lord
While you have him up there
Trust me, you'll never be bored
