Tomorrow I turn 27. I got to thinking today about everything I have done up to this point in life. Then I came up with my theory of what Heaven will be…
It’s my thinking that we’ll all sit and watch replays of each other’s lives. See all of our mistakes and triumphs…from other people’s perspectives. But not to worry…when I get there I intend to offer my services to each of you and edit out all the bad before anyone else views your tape. ;)
Life by a Remote Control
Rewind: This only works in our minds. Don’t waste a whole lot of time going over the things you’ve already seen and done.
Fast Forward: Be careful…slow down or you might miss something important. And those previews at the beginning of the movie, well you never know when you might miss something good that could enter your life.
Slow Motion and Pause: It’s easy to get stuck in slow motion…so don’t! But also remember it’s ok from time to time to stop, think, and hit the pause button.
Play Button: Play, Play, Play…let it play! Make time for everyone, including you.
Record: Something we should probably hit more often. Sometimes the things we don’t want to hear are the things we need to hear again.
Mute: Know when to just shut up and listen. (See the Record function)
Volume: Know when to speak up…know when to turn it down and lay low as not to disturb the peace.
Channel Up/Down: If something doesn’t work out…keep looking.
Eject: Never hit the eject button too soon! There’s plenty of other functions to try first!
Display Options: Tint, Balance, Color, and Brightness…all subject to changes every day. But keep at it…you’ll eventually find the right settings.
Power Button and Batteries: God is in control of the power button. He also supplies the batteries. So don’t let those get corroded! And if you ever need a recharge, or a just some new batteries…just ask, he’ll replace them for free.
If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven? You can be! TRUST JESUS NOW

Very clever Brandon. The "Life by Remote" was particularly good, and I'd really like to showcase it in an upcoming Issue of FaithWriters' Magazine (www.faithwritersmagazine.com). Could you send me a private message with your email address, so I could talk to you a little more about this? Look forward to hearing from you. With love, Deb (Editor, FaithWriters' Magazine and Challenge Coordinator)
