We all face situations where hope is all you seem to have left.
Life seems to overwhelm us and some days it’s an effort just to put one foot in front of the other.
It’s at these times that I am grateful that I am a Christian and have the hope of Christ within me.
I know what its like to take the hand of the father and walk through a sea of trouble knowing that no matter what lies ahead I am more than a conqueror.
It’s not just about getting through the situations but also about the journey.
What I learn about myself, others and most of all about my Jesus.
Strength for today and hope for tomorrow.
Having the eyes of faith to see a better tomorrow.
The answer to that problem, or just the knowledge that I do not walk alone.
One such problem I face at the moment is with my mother.
At this point in time not only does she suffer from dementia but now has lymphoma to contend with as well.
Yes the outlook is not good.
The deck seems to be stacked against us.
In the midst of these terrible problems and with no hope in sight,
It is God that grants me peace to bare the unbearable, and hope where there appears to be no cause for hope.
God doesn’t say that we are never going to have problems,
But what he does say is
“Never will I leave you, nor forsake you”.
That is encouragement for the weary, strength for the weak and yes hope for the hopeless.
Sometimes God has altered the situations for me and at other times he has altered me in the midst of problem.
I have found that he either changes the situations or changes you to cope with the problem.
But no matter what, looking back I can say as the bible says
“All things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to his purposes”.
It is my prayer and hope that as you read this you too take the hand of the father and walk through your problems trusting in God to see you through to the other side.
You will then say as the bible says, “ I am more than a conqueror through Christ who loves me”
I read a quote once that seems applicable to this topic.
Trusting an unknown situation to a known God.
Blessings
