"And all the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them, 'If only we had died in the land of Egypt ! Or if only we had died in this wilderness!" Numbers 14:2 NKJV
What are you speaking over your life!! The children of Israel were complaining and said, 'If only we had died in this wilderness,' and they got exactly what they said. The Lord said, "The carcasses of you who have complained against Me shall fall in this wilderness..." v.29
The children of Israel had experienced the miracle working power of God as He used Moses to deliver them from Egypt; as He parted the Red Sea; as He provided manna for them daily to eat; as He led them by cloud in the day, and by fire at night...But yet they spoke death over themselves, not trusting God. Are you speaking death or life over your situation?
"Death and life are in the power of the tongue,.." Prov. 18:22 Fill yourselves with God's Word, and His Word will come out of your mouth. Speak God's Word over your situation, and you will have the victory and His promises; But if you speak death and destruction over your situation, then that is what you will receive. IF YOU SAY SO....
The 12 men went out to spy the land that was promised to the children of Israel, 10 came back with a negative report. They said they could not make it, the people who dwelled there were too strong, they were giants, and the cities were too fortified. They did not believe that God could do what He said He could do. Joshua and Caleb, the other 2 spies, believed God's Word. They did not complain, but instead Caleb said, 'Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it." Numbers 13:30
IF YOU SAY SO....
As a result of their words, the Israelites received just what they said, they died in the wilderness. But Joshua and Caleb made it to the Promise land, flowing with milk and honey: In fact Joshua led the children of Israel into the Promise land. What about you, will you die in your wilderness? Whatever you are facing, will you speak life or death, victory or defeat, unity or division, provision or lack, fear or faith.
There is great power in our words, so as you go through this day, do not just speak idle words...be slow to speak in every situation, because your words are alive and they have power.
If we are made in the image of God, and He spoke everything into existence; then when we speak, we are speaking things into existence.
Think this way, when you speak, you are prophesying over your situation. The children of Israel spoke (prophesied) death in the wilderness, and so it was. Joshua and Caleb spoke (prophesied)God's promise, and they received it!!!
Speak His promises!!!!!
