Eulogy for Coretta

Coretta we’ll sure miss you, and the world won’t be the same,
Martin tried to show the way, you were the eternal flame.
After Martin left us you were there to carry on,
and still took time to raise two daughters and two sons.

The courage that you showed was well beyond belief,
your goal was never hampered by your sorrow or your grief.
Peace and human dignity, and equality for all,
even through adversity you were always standing tall.

Yours was the voice of reason in a world that didn’t care,
but your perseverance found supporters everywhere.
And now that you are headed for your celestial reward,
I can’t help but wonder who will pick up your sword.

What a heartfelt eulogy. Very well done, short, but poignant. Thank you.
