“ALL CONSUMING FIRE”,
Be the ever-present flame that burns bright through the fireplace of my heart. Please take these old, dead ashes that once had been bright passionate flames and create a most vehement flame to burn for only You in the fireplace of my heart. Please put out any sparks that cause flames of selfish motives and intentions to rise up. Consume me with Your presence. A beautiful aroma comes forth from the fireplace of my heart when You are the one fanning the flame with Your Spirit. For Your Spirit is a fire that cannot be quenched.
Please show me continually how to keep the fire burning in me with things that are pleasing to You. Stoke the fire when there’s only coals burning and no constant flame present, just contentment. I cry out to you, Oh Lord, there is no one or anything that I desire to have dwelling inside my heart that does not bring You the utmost glory. Please put in me a desire to not go back to past flames and dead ashes which only will flare up old sparks that once were burned & put out by Your Refiner’s Fire. May You be my soul’s one desire. May the “Streams of Living Water” flood my heart with renewal. Once again, causing the flow of your presence to rush in like mighty waves and disintegrate the stagnant areas and cause my heart to pump with new life that is filled with Your Spirit. May any hardness of heart be swept away by remembering the sacrifice of what Jesus Christ did when He went to the Cross of Calvary for me.
“ALL CONSUMING FIRE”,
I would rather have the fire of my Living God burning bright in me than to spend life in hell for all eternity only for a moments pleasure here on earth. There’s nothing more desirable than to be consumed by Jesus Christ. For He desires that we all be “passionate flames” for Him, blazing with His presence for the world around us to be touched. May Jesus Christ take his “Holy Match” and ignite a refiner’s fire within you that causes you to pursue Christ wholeheartedly all your life through.
