There’s a war going on
In the world we can’t see.
The battle is best won
If we go on our knees.
By day the evil one schemes,
By night lays siege;
If you would just cease to pray,
You would make his day.
A bloody scene, the battle field:
Arrows keep flying, desperate is the tempter.
He won’t stop trying – he’s going for the kill,
It’s a mine-field of evil and you’re right in the centre.
Greater, though, are those who are with us,
Glistening robes and flaming swords;
They are the host of God,
And they’re at the very front.
We’re right behind them,
We must give full support.
I can chase a thousand; together we’ll chase ten,
If you and I will pray, the battle will be won.
