As I sat in front of the computer the other day, something kept catching my eye, outside the window, pushed by the breeze, flower petals were floating by.
I wondered where they had come from, whose hand scattered them so, then I thought, 'why, it's God, reminding me,' there's a lesson I need to know.
It was like I was watching moments go by, a treasure not to be ignored; for in each petal I could savor a memory, a bit of love in each one was stored.
I thought of our wedding day, and the petals scattered in front of me, making a fragrant and lovely path, into a new life just beginning to be.
I walked over those petals, straight into your arms, the joy in my heart just overflowed, to think that God had arranged all this, in our love His love was shown.
The days passed by, then weeks and years, oh my, can it be nearly three?
And there are not enough flower petals in the world to hold all the joy I've seen.
It was nice to have that gentle reminder to savor each moment as it goes, and store them up like a treasure in my heart, all these bits of love that to me you've shown.
I thank God every day for the love we have, for this gift He's given to me, for never again will I be alone, now I'm part of a 'we'
And every day I want to find a new way to show in all that I do, how very precious every moment is to me and how much that I love you!
