the waves of the ocean
ever breaking,
ever crashing,
ever cresting

times of our lives
ever fleeting,
ever running,
ever leaving

take time to make time
stop and hear the children laugh
listen to them play
see them smile

time passes
never ceasing,
never caring,
never stopping

the earth revolving
ever faster,
ever swifter,
ever quicker

take time out to slow yourself down
stop and smell the flowers
look at them
ponder them

Whew, that one read fast. Time won't even stop for poetry, will it. ha, ha. Good poem. Thanks. Thomas

Micheal, once again you have brought me refreshing from the throne--thank you! I sure do miss my Atlantic Ocean out here in the Midwest!.... Just a note to Thomas: Why not go back and read this again, taking each phrase and turning it over in your heart, sipping it slowly, like wine? Hey, we all have a unique approach to things, but for me the careful sparsity of verbiage is what enables me to do the very thing he's talking about--to slow down and breathe the Creator's tenderness.

I knew the gist of his poem, it never hurts to laugh a little. God bless. Thomas
