Elements through the darkened clouds,
As drops of rain – of steely beads and iron’d
Frames – atoms, compressed cells, particles
Of anointed dew come splashing downwind
To lay siege on the earth’s receptacle.
Where the beam is planted there the fulcrum
Lies – door of redemption spins around these
Hinges of the earth mired in mortal wound.
By beam of light and His crude fixations
A drop of rain falls to earth to heal her -
Engulfs the globe with the vaporous sun,
Nurtures in its warm womb seeds redeemed;
By His death accomplished, on this cross
That conquers death by life-sustaining beads.
