Through Christís redemptive work, we have eternal hope
Though strangers and aliens, weíre Christís Ambassadors,
Hold on and keep the faith, trials we must endure,
Heís our Pillar of Strength, our Master and our Lord.
Let Christ fire up our faith and let our lights shine,
For our Lord wonít settle for half-hearted Christians,
Wake up, O ye Sleeper, be ready when He comes,
Hold on to what you have, pray we will overcome.
Jesus is knocking at the doors of our hearts,
Heís always waiting to fellowship with us,
Letís sit still before Him, letís hear His gentle nudge,
Weíre all welcome to come, Holy Spiritís our Guide.
On our battle with life, letís all sharpen our swords,
Pray without ceasing, soak wisdom from Godís Word,
If we unite in hearts, forgive and love more,
Then we will overcome, God will make us victors.
This poem came to me inspired by the Holy Spirit as I was meditating from the Book of Revelation, as I was reviewing what we studied from our Home Bible Study. Godís messages to the seven churches were filled with commendations and condemnations, warnings, and encouragements. These messages were not outdated. They still apply to all our present churches. His words are always tried and true. I believe that each of us, individual believers can learn from those messages He sent to the churches.
