Violent grace was payment made,
that day on Calvary.
Rusty spikes were driven deep -
God nailed to a tree.
Mercy merged with wickedness;
Father, His son forsook.
Pure and spotless Lamb was hung -
boldly flanked by thief and crook.
Violent grace was offered free
that day the curtain rent.
Sacred blood, the ground absorbed -
Earth?s rescue, Heaven sent.
Amazing Love so divine
did take my rightful place.
I?ll forever praise the Lord,
For this wondrous, violent grace.
