There Comes a TimeÖ

There comes a time when nothing seems to be going right. The world seems to be too large, the problems too big and everything else not quite important enough to capture your attention for very long. What can you do? If you are a serious Christian and belong to a particular church group or parish, then itís simple. You call up your pastor, your best church friend or someone else in the church, to talk to and gratefully release some of your inner fears. Itís just that simple.

But what if youíre a new Christian or a sometimes churchgoer or maybe even a serious loner, then what? You may not be exactly used to talking to God or even just a little afraid of Him. It happens. Of course God understands this but still you have to make the overture or do something.

What can I say? Iím not an expert, just another Christian and sometimes not even a very good one. We all fall short and we all become afraid. Sometimes even, everyday. God doesnít expect us to be perfect all the time or even come close. The only real requirement is that we get up again and try once more, no matter what or even how hard it is. We have to do this every time that we fall, even if itís a hundred times. God doesnít count our failures, at least not if we keep trying. Itís when we give up, that the devil has his little laughs. Actually they might actually be big he-haws. But the last laugh is on him when we just scramble around for a little bit and then try it again. Then the humorous one is God & His laughter is loud and clear.

God does know how hard it is on us, believe it or not. And He is secretly or maybe not so secretly blessing us and believing in us all the time. We may not think that we can hear Him but even His whisper can be perceived, even in our deepest fear and most horrible loneliness. We are absolutely never alone. God is always there!

God is many things to many different people but He is always the Father. No one can take that Right from HimÖnor their doubts, their disbeliefs, their fears, neither their despair nor even their indignation. We are actually so lucky, that He wants to be our Father, in spite of all our childish actions and completely silly ignorance.

Even the most bull-headed person usually comes to God, when there seems to be no other place to turn. The only problem isÖthat by then they usually have a whole lot of other things to also make up for. And it may even be harder by then, to be humble. But no matter how hard a person may have made itÖto return to the Father, He will always forgive us and take us back.

God is awesome. I mean it. Sometimes we donít even realize this until far later, than we should have. What should we do then? How can we make it up to Him? Some people have found their answer to be more loving to Him than they would have been, to begin with. This attitude can make some of us saints, when we were great sinners. But we must never forget, that But for the Grace of God, go I. So we should never ever for any reason, judge another. It is not up to us, to say what that person is like inside, or what he or she may have had to go through. Only God Knows. And since He is the Eternal Father of us all, it is only His right and His alone, to make any kind of judgment. Even Jesus said that.

We must always remember that weÖare all the children. We are then by our birth-right, brothers and sisters of Life and Creation. We may each then, have very different viewpoints and even completely personal and individual beliefs but actually none of us have the absolute right to say that only we understand and that everyone else is wrong or that they misunderstand the words of God.

There comes a time when we will more clearly understand. That is, when we will sincerely try to. You must admit that there are times, when we are just stubborn and we truly know that weíre just being stubborn because we want to be. Or we know that we can, because God always allows us free will. Free will is given to us by the Father as a loving gift and to show us that He truly believes in us and He trusts us.

How much more should we expect? We really need to learn to appreciate Him. And until we do, our relationship with Him will not be truly precious to us. He is always there, even waiting for us when He has to. Again, I will repeat that we are the children and He is the Father. Oh, how much more, Sweet Jesus; we could love our Father. How long will it take us to learn? We are favored by Him, yet some times, and actually itís most of the time; we donít even realize this. Is this because weíre actually that stupid or just that we donít really even care? I really hate to think that itís either of these but you have to admit, that something is wrong. Or else, weíre enormously egotistical and beyond any help. Letís all pray not.
