A surge of anger from this crowd,
Ridiculing and mocking Him.
They are boisterous and loud.
From my eyes tears pour out
As I stare at this CROSS.
I do not understand!
They do not have a clue.
How can they not see,
That He truly is the Son of God.
Oh, the wrong they do!
I see Him!
He is walking this way.
"Jesus, Jesus" I cry out,
My arms outstretched
Wanting to embrace Him.
On His head a twisted crown of thorns He wore.
They had no mercy and
Led Him to this CROSS.
I can only imagine
What His first impression may have been~
A first look at this CROSS He was to bear.
He stood as a gentle Lamb ever so near.
He only saw you and me
In our lost and sinful state,
Without hope and eternal life.
Tears flowed down His face
He closed His eyes and thought,
Without this CROSS
They have no hope.
He kneels down and bows His head.
Quietly He says, "My sacrificial love I give, This is why I came."
I watch Him carry this CROSS to Calvary Hill.
Oh Jesus!
The pain and agony You suffer.
Why do You love me? ~
To die for me!
Near this CROSS I stand.
My eyes fill with tears,
Pain in my heart,
I kneel down and weep.
They crucified my Jesus!
An expression of His love
Is the message of this CROSS.
If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven? You can be! TRUST JESUS NOW
