Yes, times are hard! This Planet’s people are bewildered and left estranged by acts of violence men that persecute our peaceful existence. Nevertheless, are these things new to humanity? We only need to look back to the times of Daniel and the rulers of Babylon. During this epic time, Daniel and his three friends are examples of dedication and commitment. They determined to serve God regardless of the consequences. They abstain from the pressures of an ungodly society, for theirs was a clear purpose in life. We get a better understanding of this purpose of life in Edwin Louis Cole book, Strong Men in Tough Times. He writes “… Daniel was purposed in heat, determined in sprit and resolute that nothing would deter, distract or detour him nor his friends, from serving Jehovah God.”
Where are our strong men? Are they in the church or the building representing the church? Are they in prison, going through a changed from a life of crime only to be lead to death? Where are our strong men? Men lead us into war with the best intention to only abandon us for greed and lack of vision. I ask where have all the strong men gone? Where are the Daniel’s of our time?
