I once saw a movie by Jim Carry entitled “Almighty Bruce”. This is the story of Bruce who keep on complaining to God until God got so fed up he let Brace become god for a few days. It seems good for Bruce but after some time he came to realize that responsibility comes along with power. As god-for-few-days, he'll have to deal in answering the prayers of billions of people calling out to God. He got so fed up at one point that he simply said yes to all their prayers. Everybody won the lottery. As a result, everybody got a piece of the price. That is seventeen dollars. It led to chaos.
God's yes is a prayer is the best assurance anybody could get. Could you imagine what could have happened if God said yes to all everybody's prayers all the time? If from four billion people, there are at least ten million who wish to die that very same night and God said yes, what a disaster! God is indeed good. He is good not only because he listened to our prayers but also because he also says Yes, No or Wait for our own sake.
God knows our nature. He knows our strength and weaknesses. He knows what is in our hearts. He knows the depth of our joy and sorrow. He knows how far we can bear. He knows our limitations. He never demands more than we can give. If he ask us of this, it is for our own benefit. If he speaks to you , as a reward or punishment, it is out of love. If there is anything in this world that prevents him from loving you, it is yourself. He loves us so much he is not willing to let you go to hell. Yet he also love us so much He is willing to let go when you've made a choice to say no.
Life is Ironic but God is Beautiful. Every shades of green that passed through our sight are as beautiful as if it is the first time we see it. Every day is a new day. It is a day to celebrate life for who knows how long we will live but God. It is a day of feasting and gladness for this is the day that the Lord has made.
But if today is a day of sorrow and lament be glad. If today is the day when everything you love and cherish will be taken away, be happy. If this day is the day you could never go through, cry tears of Joy; for it is this day when God's strength is perfected in your weakness.
This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24)
