Although I appreciate what you are trying to say here; in my opinion, you tried to hard to say it. Your heart may have been going 85 m.p.h. but your words seem to be stuck in 1st gear. "Lure" was overused when there are surely several synonyms to have chosen from. Because of that the work became predictable and when a writing becomes predictable I lose interest. I read it through only because it is a short read and out of admiration for any one that has the courage to be read publicly.
